Ask me how to put someone in the recovery position - St John Ambulance
If you find someone collapsed, you should first perform a primary survey. If it shows that they are unresponsive but breathing, then you can place them in the recovery position.
The recovery position is the safest position to put a casualty in when they are breathing normally, but not responding to you. The recovery position helps maintain the casualty’s airway until emergency help arrives.
This video will show you how to place someone in the recovery position step by step.

Best thing to do to control your seizures is to find out the cause stay away from seizure lights and also get good sleep and stay on your meds I haven’t had a seizure in 1 year because of finding the coase another good thing to do is to find out a warning when your about to have a seizure like if you fell cold in a hot room or pain before happens so you know when to sit down so you don’t fall and hit your head
I've found it's safer to put someone into the recovery position as they are having a generalised seizure, just to prevent them from aspirating vomit, saliva, or blood during the seizure. I have had to do this once before when, walking back home with my husband and his friend, the friend had a generalised seizure. I went straight into nurse mode and told my husband to start a timer on his phone as I put the friend into the position. We stayed by his side, and made sure he got home safe. I called his ICE (In Case of Emergency) contact, who was his mum, to let her know what had happened. Follow the ABCDE approach of emergencies. My husband has remembered all that I taught him on that day, and I am so happy for that when I started having generalised seizures. I'd also told him to call 999 if a seizure lasts over 5 minutes, or if there is more than 3 in a row.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do not search their pocket for small items, who catch that?
Hello Squad.
Thank you so much. My best friend has them and I want to help. It's part of my life as well now and I need to know my part. Bless you for this.
I’m watching this video at school hehe
Simple, efficient and easy to hear and understand.
Thank you for sharing the training. It is helpful.
😰⛹️🙇🚍😵😚👽
Why do you place a cushion under their knees and back
Yes very helpful
Yes I know what you mean, really lovely lady with a lovely voice xx
Thank you! it was very handy❤😊
I don't understand when we should do this. Isn't it better to keep them flat on their back and perform CPR instead?
Omg time I was literally chillingly on my dads bed and my dad was in the shower when I kid you not about I think an ounce of blood just gushes out of my nose. My mom eventually got there, and they’re js tryna stop the bleeding in the shower. I genuinely think I lost at least a cup of my blood that day.
I randomly get this, mainly on the crease of my arms or my neck. Anyways, I watched the vid….. then started scrolling thru YT again, but the rash has been itching so I decided to go put alcohol on it, and then thought…. Well…. I put vaporub on bug stings and pimples to help with the inflammation and itchiness. And bam!!!!! Now it doesn’t itch!!!!!! And no it feels nice and fresh. Trust me it worked.
Good video but he never says what the recovery position is
That looks painful 😢
Thanks for sharing this, Portugal salutes St.Johns
God Bless You My Sister! 🙏✝️🤴👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
If u do this in China for stranger, their family might sue you lolll
No kid should be allowed to graduate from high school unless they master all life saving techniques including fire fighting appliances!
Incorrect: not bleeding externally. Could still be internal bleeding.
my child just died because of how long these unskippable ads were, i will be suing
My classmate get's seizure's
What if theyre not breathing while they're having a seizure and you can tell they are turning purple
at that point, you need to call emergency services. if a person is not breathing or a seizure lasts longer that 5 minutes, emergency help is needed or they could die.
Thankyou for this clear advice
you are brill i find "um" every time i press help sounds weird to everyone else but at the end of the day if it help that what matters
👍I think most of us forget to wear gloves when doing this
Easy instructions 👍
Very helpful information
Very good information
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What if the baby had a nose bleed after the head bump but still acts normally within 48 hours? ❤
CBD oil has been a true game-changer in my journey of managing seizure attacks. Not only has it effectively reduced the frequency and severity of my seizures, but it has also brought a host of other benefits, including neuroprotection, improved quality of life, and minimal side effects. As more research continues to support the efficacy of CBD oil in treating seizures, I am grateful to have found a natural and accessible solution that has brought stability and hope to my life.
I learnt it’s very efficient but is it advisable by some kinda physicians?
Natural and Accessible: CBD oil's natural origin is another compelling reason to consider its use in seizure management. Derived from the hemp plant, CBD oil offers a more holistic approach to treatment. It is readily accessible in many regions, making it a viable option for individuals seeking alternative remedies for their seizure disorders.
How is CBD classified?
